AVLogbook®
was conceived
by
ALPHAVICTOR®
founder, Bruce
Micek. After 50
years of
wrestling with
his own paper
logbooks, Bruce
saw that it was
time to take
the pain and
guilt out of
this often
frustrating,
but necessary
process.
Aviators
keep logbooks
for many
reasons. Early
in our aviation
endeavors, the
logbook
represented the
measuring tool
of our progress
as pilots. It
also
represented a
great deal of
personal pride
as we ascended
from groundhog
to angel. The
logbook was
certainly
needed as we
progressed
through the
ranks of FAA
certification.
And today, the
logbook
provides
necessary
documentation
of our currency
and flight
times for legal
and insurance
purposes.

use. Thanks to

feature, as few
as two inputs
are needed to
complete an
entire entry
once you have

simply logging
the flight,

maintenance
function.

ABOUT
the
AVLogbook®'s
Author...
Bruce
Micek has
created niche
businesses for
nearly 40
years. For many
years Micek
functioned with
parallel
careers in
aviation and
broadcasting.
He has owned 6
radio stations,
created two
national radio
networks, acted
in every
capacity in
broadcasting,
including
on-camera
talent, sales,
engineering,
management and
ownership.

But
a
passion
for
flying
that
began
at the
age of
7
propelled
an
advancement
through
most
of the
FAA
ratings.
|
|
|
Micek
has served as a
CFI, charter
pilot, aircraft
salesman. He
has owned
aircraft sales
companies and
founded a
national
aircraft rental
company,
Avian...the
Pilot's
Airline.
He
has worked for
Piper.
Bellanca,
FlightSafety
and CAE
SimuFlite. He
is ATP rated
(single and
multiengine,
land) and has
Commercial
priviledges in
single engine
sea. Micek is
type-rated in
the CE-500 and
CE-750 with
over 7,500
hours total
flight time and
3,000+ hours as
a flight
instructor. He
holds a Gold
Seal flight
instructor's
certficate for
airplanes,
instruments and
multiengine; a
ground school
certficate for
advanced and
instrument and
was an FAA
Examiner with
CAESimuFlite in
the Cessna
Citation 500
series and the
Citation
X.
In
addition to his
duties as CEO
of The
ALPHAVICTOR Comapanies,
Inc. (a
Delaware
corporation),
Micek also
presents
aviation
seminars and
speaks to
aviation and
non-aviation
groups
throughout the
country. In
January, 2009,
he will begin a
series of FIRCs
(FAA licensed
Flight
Instructor
Resfresher
Clinics) the
required
two-year
qualification
for
CFI renewal.
